How to configure rDNS records on our VPS platform

Reverse DNS (rDNS) allows the mapping of an IP address to a domain name, essentially providing the opposite function of DNS. In this guide, we'll walk you through the process of enabling reverse DNS on an IP address using our VPS control panel.


Step 1: Select Your VPS



From the dashboard, click 'Manage' on the VPS that you want to set up reverse DNS for.

Step 2: Navigate to the 'Network' tab



Click on the "Network" tab shown on the VPS home page.

Step 3: Click 'Reverse DNS' under the IP address you wish to enable rDNS on



Scoll down until you reach the list of IPv4 Addresses and IPv6 subnets.
Click on the "Reverse DNS" option for which IP you wish to enable.

Step 4: Configure Reverse DNS



Enter the desired hostname in the provided field.
Click on the "Update" button to apply the changes.

Please note that a forward record needs to be created prior to setting rDNS. Before you can set reverse DNS, you must make sure that the domain/hostname points to this server IP with a corresponding A or AAAA record.
